Meet Pro Tech: Kallie - @kallinikaaynsley

What is your goal for this year?

This year, I am hoping to employ another member of staff for the first time. When I first started my company, it was driven by a real passion for brows rather than a strong business aim. However, since gaining more clients, I am super busy and really need an extra pair of hands to help me carry out waxing and tinting so that I can focus on my SPMU appointments!

Why did you choose the name ‘brow sophistication’ for your business?

I wanted a business name that really stood out from the crowd. I started with ‘brows by Kallinika Aynsley’ but quickly realised that that was too much of a mouthful. Months past but, finally, I found the perfect name: Brow Sophistication. Sweet, simple, and sophisticated!

Why do you use Cosmedic Supplies products?

I use Cosmedic Supplies because you cannot beat the quality of their products. Truthfully, I invested thousands of pounds into a Nouveau Contour machine when I first started out as a practitioner. But when I first used the Light Pad, there was no turning back. It is so much better than the more expensive, bulky machines on the market. It is lightweight, the needles are super precise and affordable, and the customer service is unbeatable. I trust Cosmedic Supplies completely.

What is your favourite Machine and Needle?

I use the Lite Pad and the 1r nano needle 0.04.

Best piece of advice that you wish you knew when you first started?

Social media is huge! People love to see aesthetically pleasing work so the better your social media pages look, the more engagement you will receive and the more clients you will gain! Social media was a totally unknown world to me when I first started out and I wish I had known how effective it is in boosting business. When posting onto your page, make sure your lighting is on point, there are no shadows and the same tone is carried throughout your feed.

Why did you choose the beauty industry? And especially PMU?

My brow journey first started when I worked at a Benefit Brow Bar in Essex. Whilst working there, I just fell in love with creating beautiful eyebrows and was amazed at how much a good pair of eyebrows could affect somebody’s entire appearance. As a result, I decided to start training in a variety of eyebrow treatments. Then I came across SPMU and the rest is history! I have always been super creative and artistic, so this just seemed like the perfect fit for me.

What is your signature technique called?

I have two signature brow techniques. The first is the ‘sophisticated brow’ which focuses mainly on microblading hair strokes that mimic natural growth to create a natural, stylish, and sophisticated brow. The second is the ‘fluffy brow blend’, a technique that combines shading and hair strokes to create a brow that is full and fluffy at the front and sharp and defined at the tail. My passion is creating full, fluffy, natural looking brows.
